Camila Montenegro

Bogota Colombia

I live and work in Bogotá DC, Colombia.

Currently I am focused on reflecting on the breath and smells, from a synaesthetic and empirical point of view. I consider breathing to be a chaotic and intimate sound, like a reflection on inhabiting one's body and the house. I understand smell as the bridge between the "different senses", as an invitation to a different interpretation of my body. Likewise, I explore my body and the different materialities that constitute it and record it (as a memory or trace) the potential to create, melt, recover, a constant becoming of form. I am interested in the possibility of overwriting sensory experience repeatedly and freely.
